I think of my work as contemporary realism. Luminous light and beautiful line inspire my work. I work mainly in watercolor; it does such luscious things and I love the never ending learning that comes with this challenging but amazing medium. Of late, I have been exploring mixed media but always with a strong watercolor element. Occasionally, I work with oilbar, acrylics and pen and ink.
My 'Hello Dollies' emerged after countless trips to quilting stores where I passed time studying beautiful patterns and occasionally assisting in the choice of fabrics that went together. In the end, I became a purchaser but not a quilter. And so....the creation of the Hello Dollies. They have been great fun and the source of great amusement.
